WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT
It’s a fundraiser. It’s a traditional Advent Calendar. It’s a sort of raffle. It’s a totally Kenilworth community activity and it has become something of a Kenilworth tradition. And it’s a bit of fun.
Following last year’s successful Kenilworth Advent Calendar, which raised over £17,000 for local causes, Kenilworth Rotary Club has decided to do it again, but this time with bigger prizes and more Calendars. We aim to print 4000 Calendars along with the option to purchase a digital calendar, all for £5 each!
WHO IS RUNNING IT
It’s a project organised and run by The Rotary Club of Kenilworth. We aim to have some fun and make new friends while raising money for good causes. In addition to this Advent Calendar, we run the Tree of Light in Talisman Square and the 2 Castles Run, but we need more members and helpers to keep going.
If you’ve got some time and would like to get involved, do please contact us at meetus@kenilworthrotaryclub.org.uk We’d love to hear from you.
HOW IT WORKS
Like every other Advent Calendar, this one has a picture on the front with 24 doors, one for each day of Advent, from the 1st to the 24th of December.
Behind each door is a list of 5 prizes, each donated by a local business and ranging in value up to £300, from food and drink to free MOTs and all kinds of services.
Every Calendar bears a unique number in the top right-hand corner. Each day in Advent, we’ll reveal 5 of those numbers, drawn at random, which win the prizes for that day.
HOW TO FIND OUT IF YOU’VE WON A PRIZE
Take a look at the Winning Numbers page on this website. Every day during Advent, the door for that day will be unlocked. Hover over that door and it will open, revealing the prizes for that day and their winning numbers. Every door up to that date will remain unlocked, so you don’t have to check every day.
In addition, the winning numbers for each day, and all the days up to that date, will be shown on the Kenilworth Nub News and a hard copy will be posted on the glass-fronted noticeboard in Talisman Square between Costa Coffee and WHSmith.
HOW TO CLAIM YOUR PRIZE
Contact us at kenilworthadventcalendar@kenilworthrotary.org.uk stating your winning number and we’ll advise you how and where to collect it. Usually, it will be in the form of a voucher for you to present to the business offering the prize, but sometimes you’ll collect it directly from the business and sometimes it’s a physical object which we’ll deliver to you.
*Don’t forget to take your Advent Calendar with you to show your Calendar’s unique winning number and PLEASE COLLECT YOUR PRIZE BEFORE THE 28TH OF FEBRUARY, 2026 OR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE IF THE PRIZE NEEDS TO BE USED BEFORE CHRISTMAS,
